Confidence

There are 5 areas in which students can experience increased levels of confidence on their way to becoming a black belt.

1) Confidence in their ability to defend themselves and others.
2) Confidence in trying new things.
3) Confidence in their social life through class participation and by gaining new friends.
4) Confidence through trials; understanding that failure is a part of success.
5) Confidence in their appearance; through physical conditioning and a commitment to healthy habits.

Self-Defense

Nearly 20% of students 12-18 years of age are bullied at school or online. Parents and teachers aren’t always around to prevent this behavior and, unfortunately, a weak intervention may exasperate the situation. Street Ninja’s number one priority is for the safety and well-being of its students. We empower students with the knowledge to defend themselves from an aggressor and teach them to seek a proper authority.

Academic Performance

Through a three year study, the University of Madrid determined that as physical fitness improves individuals' health it also positively affects the brain. This study indicates that exercise can enhance a students' ability to perform well in school. Students that are taught the virtues of martial  arts will learn that it is a way of life not just a hobby. This attitude of excellence overflows to all that we do: The way we perform at school, the way we speak to our teachers, the way we treat others, and the way we care for our community are all to be done in an honorable manner.
