Meet the Instructor

Hi! I'm Sensei Kevin, and I'm excited to welcome you to Street Ninja Karate. It's my goal to positively impact the youth in our community through the virtues of martial arts. I intend to come alongside parents in an effort to guide and encourage students as they fight to become the very best versions of themselves.

My Martial Art Journey

I started training when I was 7 years old. I was a rambunctious child, and my mother was a single parent that wanted opportunities for her son. With martial arts I learned more about respect, and discipline. I was able to thrive under the structured environment and earn my black belt certified by the Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters). I’ve had the opportunity to train under Master Michael Height, a Pan-American Jiujitsu champion, and Juan Moreno, a three-time Olympian and two-time silver medalist.

My Martial Art Career

My teaching career started when I was 15, assisting and leading class lessons. I have since received my martial art instructors’ certification from the Martial Art Teachers Association (MATA). I assisted and led premier classes at Premier Martial Arts, the second largest martial art franchise in the nation, and I ran multiple weekly karate class programs for Kinder Time. a mobile children enrichment program from 2021 to 2023. There’s a great saying, “Black belts are just serious beginners.” I’m determined not only to reach my potential in martial arts, and in life, but I also wish to help others do the same.
